DOES IT HURT?

For brows - It is recommended but not compulsory that you apply Emla cream one hour before your appointment (available at any Pharmacy) to numb the area. This will help manage any discomfort felt during the first pass over your brow. Then shortly after, a secondary anaesthetic is applied and the rest of the treatment has no-to-mild discomfort.

For lips - you will arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to apply a pre-numbing cream as the lips are a sensitive area. We also use secondary anaesthetic during the treatment.

 

It is important to note everyone experiences pain differently and we do my best to make the process as pain free and comfortable as possible.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

For Brows and Lip Blush: 6-8 weeks.

For Dark Lip: 8-12 weeks.

It is important you adhere strictly to the aftercare advice for the 6 weeks following your treatment. Your tattoo may appear bold for the first few days but will soon settle. Lips heal much faster than brows, usually within 3 days.

You will be given an aftercare kit and full instructions on how to care for your

tattoo after your treatment.

HOW LONG DOES A COSMETIC TATTOO LAST?

For Microblading, we recommend a Colour Refresh every 12-18 months as your tattoo will fade and the colour will change. 

For Ombre or Combination Brows, we recommend a Colour Refresh every 12-36 months as the ink tends to last longer in the skin.

For Lips, we recommend 12-36 months depending on how your skin retains the ink.

DO I NEED TO SHAPE MY BROWS BEFOREHAND?

No, this is included in your treatment. We suggest leaving your brows to grow for as long as possible - the more for us to work with, the better.

WHICH BROW OPTION SHOULD I CHOOSE?

This will be discussed with you during your consultation. Microblading is not recommended for oily skins or brows in need of a full reconstruction. Ombre brows are suitable for oily skins and those with hair through the front of their brow but less through the ends. Combination brows are suitable for normal skins and those with very little brow hair.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

You will need at least two treatments to begin with - your initial treatment and the perfecting treatment. The Perfecting treatment is to make any necessary adjustments from the healing process and is carried out 6-8 weeks after your initial treatment. Occasionally, a third appointment is needed and this will be charged as a Perfecting treatment. For Dark Lip, it can sometimes take up to 5 treatments to get the desired result but this depends on your skin, lifestyle and end goal.

CAN I GET COSMETIC TATTOOING WHILE PREGNANT OR NURSING?

No treatments can be performed on pregnant women. If you are nursing, you will need to express and discard your milk for 24 hours post-treatment.

CAN I WEAR MAKEUP TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Yes. Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed before starting the treatment.
